Cardboard City: Pilot Build Day

Eight to ten families will design buildings, connect roads, and test one cooperative cardboard city. The first pilot is being planned for the Thornton–Northglenn area.

What families can expect

  • A clear welcome, safety briefing, short demonstration, build time, testing, and cleanup.
  • Each child remains under the direct supervision of their accompanying adult.
  • Participation does not require photography consent. A no-camera area will be available.
  • No power tools at the pilot events. Adults handle difficult cuts and potentially hazardous materials.
  • Exact venue details are shared with registered adults rather than posted live.

Future gatherings

The second free pilot is a Build-and-Test Challenge targeted for November 14, 2026. Dates remain provisional until venue, insurance, waivers, and an additional screened adult helper are confirmed.
